The San Angelo Art Club presents an Exhibition of all award-winning art!
During October 2019, the Kendall Art Gallery will show the “Winners Circle” with award winning artworks from past San Angelo Art Club exhibitions.
An Opening Reception will be held on Sunday, October 6th from 2:00 till 4:30pm at the Kendall – 119 W. 1st Street.
Art Intake Day will be on Saturday:
October 5th between 10am and 1:00pm.
Art Pickup Day will be on:
October 27th between 1:00 and 4:00pm.
Current Members of the San Angelo Art Club are eligible to display up to 4 of their award winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd place artworks from previous SAAC shows. You may check the back of any such SAAC ribbon for information, or you may go to the office area at the Kendall Art Gallery and look through the files of back issues of the “Splashes” which list award winners.

C. RUSSELL MYERS
This is a Painting Competition applying the guidelines of the C. Russell Myers Trust Fund created for the San Angelo Art Club. There will be approximately $2,300 in awards to artists in 4 major Categories: 3 Painting categories plus a Small Paintings category.
All paintings should be a realistic in style.
Entries Received: October 30th &/or November 2nd - between 10am to 1:00pm each day
Show Opens: November 4th at the Kendall Gallery and runs till November 24th
Reception/Awards: November 54h at the Kendall Gallery at 7:00pm
Pick up art: November 24th (between 1:00 & 4:00p.m.)
The Judge for this show will be Judy Tereletsky of Big Spring, TX.
SAAC Members: $15 per entry or 3 entries $35, (20% commission on sales)
Non-members: $20 per entry or 3 entries $50, (30% commission on sales)
University students w/ID: $10 per entry or 3 entries $25, (10% comm. on sales)
These fees apply to each Category, and artists may combine # of entries to enter any Categories they choose.
Only paintings in Oil, Watercolor, or Acrylic will be accepted, and artists may win only one cash prize in each category. The Categories are:
- Small paintings - 10”x 10” (Correction from that is different from the PDF) and smaller (maximum 100 square inches) may be entered. Any mat or frame is not included in calculating the 100 sq. inches or less in size; it’s the size of the painting only.
- Larger paintings will be judged in the 3 separate categories of oil, acrylic or watercolor. (These
paintings are not to exceed 60” in any dimension including frame.) Again, art for this show should be “realistic”.
ELIGIBILITY & SPECIFICATIONS:
Open to All Area Wide Artists. All entries must be REALISTIC & ORIGINAL. No abstract, collage, computer generated art, or copies of other artist’s work, workshop or classroom works. (Direct copies of professional or published photographs are not considered your original work, but the work of the photographer.) All paintings must be properly framed & wired for hanging – (suggested watercolors be behind glass or plexiglass.) No wet paint or saw-tooth hangers. **If a painting has been entered in a SAAC show and never won a ribbon you may enter it again (one time only). For this show, paintings should not be more than 3 years old. SAAC reserves the right to refuse an entry not in good taste or not in compliance with the Club’s rules. Entries may not be removed from gallery before November 24th without the approval of the exhibition chairperson.
No refunds of entry fees.
