This is a fund raiser for MEALS for the ELDERLY – in lieu of an entry fee we will be bringing a donation of canned goods, single servings for the sack lunches they send out on weekends like: applesauce, Ramen noodles, fruit cups, toiletries, tissues, etc. They can always use cash also.
Active and Associate members exhibiting our beginning and latest art creations. Each member enters 1 art work representing their very beginning and 1 art work representing their more recent work – any media & style.
They will be hung side by side and be judged on the most improved.
Entries received: Wednesday May 2nd & Saturday May 5th, 2018 -10am to1pm.
Winners will be announced at Monday night meeting and prizes given on Wednesday – time TBA.
There will be 7 - 1st place winners. The awards are listed below. They will draw to determine the order for choosing the awards.
1. Lunch for 2 at Olive Garden, Cheddars, or Henrys, as guest of the exhibit committee.
2. I will manage the gallery for 1 person the next time they are assigned.

4. $25 gift certificate from Hobby Lobby.
5. $25 gift certificate from Michaels.
6. 1 – 15x30 nice frame (for oil or acrylic.)

SAAC members $15.00 per entry or 3 entries $35 (10% commission on sales)
Non-members $20.00 per entry or 3 entries $50 (20% commission on sales)
Oil – Acrylic – Watercolor (10 or more entries in each to be judged separately)
ELIGIBILITY & SPECIFICATIONS:
Open to All Area Wide Artists. Accepted media: oil, watercolor, & acrylic.
Only two-dimensional work will be accepted. All entries must be realistic & original, executed within the last 5 years, without supervision and not previously entered in a SAAC judged show. (No computer generated art, abstract, or collage, no copies of workshop or classroom work). Copies of professional photographs are not considered your original work. No limit on # of entries.
Number of places and cash awards will be determined after all entries are recorded. An artist may receive award money for 1 place (this includes Best of Show) and award money for 1 honorable mention.
A panel of 3 will be accepting all entries in accordance with the regulations for C. Russell Myers shows. SAAC reserves the right to refuse any entry not in good taste or not in compliance with SAAC regulations.
Works not to exceed 60” in any dimension, including frame. All paintings must be properly framed & wired for hanging – (watercolor behind glass or Plexiglas). No wet paint or saw-tooth hangers.
Cover name for judging. Entries may not be removed before June 25th without the approval of the exhibit chairperson. No refunds.
