Active Members only. This is a show that will include all of our active members – non-members may join SAAC at time of entering. Associate members may change their classification to active members for the remainder of the year if they choose to enter. An estimated $3,000 will be given for awards & show expense.
ALL Media Accepted:
Sculpture in bronze, wood, metal, or stone; jewelry; glass; ceramics; photography; paintings & drawings in pastel, charcoal, pencil, pen & ink, & mixed media – (all styles) will be accepted, judged, & awarded nice cash prizes. Any medium with fewer than 10 entries will be combined with another category. The categories and amount of awards will be determined by amount of entries received.
PAINTINGS in oil, watercolor, & acrylic will be accepted and awarded cash prizes from the C. Russell Myers fund. Artists may enter for 2 separate divisions. (Realistic work only for these two categories).
Miniature paintings no larger than 8x10 will be judged in a separate category.
Larger paintings will be judged in a separate category.
ENTRY FEES for all 3 categories: $15 per entry or 3 entries $35 (10% commission on sales)
An artist may enter and win cash awards in all three groups of art work. Amount of awards will be determined after all entries are received.
All entries must be original, executed without supervision (COPIES of PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHS are not considered your ORIGINAL WORK). If an entry has not won a ribbon in a previous show, it may be entered again (one time only). All paintings must be properly framed & wired for hanging. Pedestals will be provided for works needing them. Paintings are not to exceed 60” in any dimension including frame. No restriction on age of artwork. No limit on number of entries. No wet paint or saw-tooth hangers. Cover your name for judging.
Entries will be accepted in accordance with C. Russell Myers regulations for that category. SAAC reserves the right to refuse an entry not in good taste or not in compliance with SAAC regulations. Entries may not be removed from gallery before closing date without the approval of the exhibit chairperson. No refunds.
